1. I like to make plans--short-term, long--term, it doesn't much matter. I am almost obsessive about planning and scheduling. Like to have a clear mental picture of what's going to get done and when. Down to the hours, if it's the little things.
2. I've never read or held in my hands a paper edition of the New York Times. I've been reading the online edition for the last 4 years. I compulsively read 10 of the most popular New York Times articles, as marked on their website.
3. Food Network is one of my favorite channels, and I miss it here in Moscow. I am actually entertaining the thought of downloading some shows. On several occasions, I've watched Food Network for long enough time that the shows started looping (4-5 hours). Don't get me started on Iron Chef.
4. I am a militant financial conservative. I find the ideas of accumulating debt, rampant borrowing, and poor financial planning reprehensible (in a criminal sense). Of course, I am referring to personal finances only.
5. Before I send an email to anyone, I always re-read it several times to get the flow and tone just right. I always imagine the recipient in the process of reading and responding to it. I am compulsive about removing repetitions of the same word.
6. (Who's counting?) I notice when other people's clothes are poorly fitted, and it irritates me. Same for color coordination. Sneakers worn with long skirts are a shoot on-sight offense in my book.
